Why wont my fire alarm stop chirping?????
It started about 1:30 this morning, about every 10 minutes it chirps. I replaced the batteries in all of them since I couldnt tell which one it was. I also cleaned them. They are about 7 years old, but they have never gone off from kitchen smoke or anything so they shouldnt need to be replaced. But one is still chirping. They are the BRK Electronics model # 83R.
I guess I wouldn’t be so desperate if it wasn’t now 5:00 in the morning and I have been trying to figure this out since 1:30 this morning. I’m 28 weeks pregnant, have a 4 year old who has gotten his sleep and will be up in an hour, my husband is out of town and I can’t skip church tomorrow because I have to sing in the choir. Sorry for the back story, I’m just frustrated.
hold down the reset/test button for 15 seconds. 3 series of 3 beeps. brk detectors must be reset after replacing the battery.
