Seal Kit
is there another name for a pitman arm seal?
i found a Power Steering Pump Shaft Seal Kit…is that the same thing as the pitman arm seal? can’t seem to find it on autozone or csk or advance….
i am looking to replace the seal…but cant seem to find a pitman arm seal.
any other names it can go by?
If it is the seal for the shaft that the pitman arm is connected to right out of the power steering box, then it is the input shaft seal. You have to take off the pitman arm for access. If it is called the pump shaft seal, it is the seal on the power steering pump behind the pulley that the engine belt drives. The idler arm, btw, is on the opposite side of the car from your pitman arm, just in case you are confused by the fake answers above.
